school practice week 2-3

In this weeks the lessons which I observed were not so different from first week. But Which I thought(I thought many lessons:)) they were so diffrent for me.First one was a math lesson with 6th grade pupils, they were the most crowded class in school comparing to Turkey its normal and I was so nervous about teaching before I thought I prepared many thins for them I barrowed theachers book and translate all Danish things in Turkish for understand evrything then I planned lesson in English cause my Danish is not enough for it.But Finally the lesson was flied like a bird I didn't recognize the time at the end I gave some exercise which I prepared for them and in the weekend they did the exercise.one week later I had the second lesson with them and I checked their answers and controlled it in the class for each pupil if they didn't understand I show it in the blacbourd.(I like old techniques some times)

And I had also science lessons with 7th and 8th grade Ipresent them 'Einstein's twins theory'I think they enjoy Einstein2s experiment. Then I had the math with 8th grade I presented 'math in daily life and The golden ratio'in this lesson Jette also fallowed me,I hope she really enjoyed it.

I want to say that this 3 weeks are so good memories for me,Thanks

Ribe

On International week so week week ago we went to the Ribe which was a great Viking city in old ages.Actually we went Esbjerg first for the police station then I join the Group for Ribe and the viking museum,if I compare this one between Roskilde I think this one is more entertaining but Also Roskilde has many real ships so you can feel the real sprit. Our journey plan was go to the big cathedral or church (I am not sure),walk ing in pedestrians street and meeting in the viking museum,So I walked with some international week students on the pedestrian street, and their orientation were the same as mine so we were afraid about to be lost but succed to find museum and enjoyed our time,The weather was so nice,it was good chance ,cause not so much sun we have seen in Haderslev so I think it was the beginning of spring :)
some photos from Lilla thanks ;)

storytellers

films:we watched many parts of Danish films. In my mind I have some words about it.Nordic film,Lars vonTriyer and dogme films(which are cheap, natural and so realistic)

so 1906 Nordisk film(Polar Bear) silent films

19502s black nd white films (Darama and based on nowel films)Morten Korch

1970's later on social realism mostly comedies(dominant gentle and popular comedy)

1980's Karen Blixen's life based "out of Africa".,Babette's Feast, Pelle, the Consnenror

Dogme 95 films The celebration,The idiots
LArs Von Trier : Europa,Dancer in the dark,Dogville

Findings: I find Danish historical cinemagrophy is so different from Turkey, espacially this dogme films are too much for me,yes I know this is life and life is hard burt I am aperson who go to cinema for entertainment so if I watch this dramtic films mmore than one for a day I will feel sick so I hope DAnish people will be mora positive next days...;)

Roskilde,Copenhagen,Malmö,Helsingor

This cities are the cities which I visited them on Easter break.First, Roskilde is the main city in Roskilde Municipality, Denmark on the island of Zealand. It is an ancient city, dating from the Viking Age,has a pedestrian street with myriad shops, restaurants, and cafes running down the center of the city.An we went to the viking museum which you can see real viking ships and walked in the pedestrian street we wern't so lucky first day cold for April. The next station was Copenhag or Kobenhavn whatever you want! I have been Copenhag before but Ididnt walk and enjoy the city, so it was the chance to do it in 4 days.First we went to the hotel but it was a real stressful story and we changed our minds and go to Danhostel which is the heart of Copenhag. We were so tired first day and we had rest a little bit then had a real long walk for finding Netherlands:)jajaja just a joke!no for finding Little Mermaid or marmelade you can choose. Then I saw her in the dark and I said What is it that ,that is it?yes it is really little anyway a miracle of advertisement many tourist visit her.Next day we went to Malmö is the third largest city in Sweden. It is in the south west part of the Sweden, by the sea. The Öresund bridge goes from Malmö to Copenhagen. this bridge is so attractive for us and took pictures then visit the twisted tower and lovely natural gardens. And pedastrian street,Choclatte factory museum this day was so sunny so I had mant freckles from there:(And terrible Chinese food I was so regretfull about why I ate this junk food because I feel sick all week. Then we went to IKEA which is a Sweedish Home conseptor. And Turned to Copenhag.

The third day began very early becasue we want to see everywhere in Copenhag by walking so preaperd sandwiches take your camera and wear good walking shoes:)Christiansborg,Amelianborg,Storegade and Tivoli(sorry for didn't see inside)and the changing of the guardians.the most interesting part Beleive or not beleive museum;)When we arrive hostel I just had shower eat my meal add photos on computer and slept for I think 12 hours(like a chicken)I was so tired and the fourth day was special for me cause I visited my Turkish relatives in their restaraunt so eat Kebab:)),and we translate my Danish math book because I thought after easter in school. And we (me and Ayse abla) visited Copenhag's diffrent places(Jewish cemetry,Christiania,we just look and turn:) and eating ice cream )speacial thanks to her.THis day was fuul of Turkish and Danish. When we were returning to Haderslev we also visitted the is a city in Helsingør municipalityon the northeast coast of the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. It is known internationally as the setting of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, whence the spelling 'Elsinore' originated. And yes we visited the hamlet's casttle and ıt was amazing especially casamettes,it is a place underground of casttle and acaring but attraactive,I like it.And we turned to Haderslev at Thhursday night it was a good holiday for me thank you evry one!...;)

Frienship and Danish

our Hıstory lessons

this lesson is good for me,yees sometimes I don't understand something and feel a little bit bored but generally it was good.I need to say that some people don't like history because of their teachers and Jorn is an amazing teacher everybody in the lesson enjoy history:) so my all teacher was like Jorn and my best history teacher is my dad:)he was always telling our big Turkish history to me when I was small like telling stories.

Most important message is,if we want to create the future history will help us, because we can see what was wrong in the past, so if we recognize it regularly we can create a great future. Another message was that everything has happened in parallel in Europe and almost in the same time and “everybody was relative”, because the different dynasties got marriage with each other. In first 2 weeks he thought us European history before worldwars and after than the other 2 weeks he taught us Danish history I mean first Vikings then Danish Kingdom(Royal)and Danmark. And we finished our lessons with a little trip in Haderslev in the international week.

practice week 1

My busy school week

monday: Class 6A math with VA,begin the day in conference room by watching some documentaries, pupils watched it cso silently and carefully cause it was interesting about some sea animals and products.Thıs week was specıal week I mean all students choose a subject and searched about it and they did their projects. So we cuoldnt do math lesson with them.

Class 8Imath with JE Again we hadnt got a real math lesson cause the pupils present their projects to teachers in this lesson some students do it indivual some are in group. The most interesting thing is teachers (2 techer ) discuss out of he class and give the students mark then they called the students to outside to say the mark.

Class 7B physics with SD ,Actually This lesson is extra for me cause I will be only math teacher but I like physic so its not problem. we went to physics laboratie for the lesson .First teacher explained asked something about the subject .Subject was circuits, some students answer him I was curious cause they talked so much and I asked this situation to the teacher. He said that the pupils read the text of the subject before lesson they are ready.this was the theoical part then students continued for practice they were diong a circuit,şt was like a home modele I mean rooms and ampuls and an aspiratör.Some students were not interested about the lesson but teacher didnt use force to joined them in the lesoon. But he left a girl outside the class cause she talked and did noise very much.

Tuesday:Class 6a math with VA :Yeah I sikipped this lesson not because I didint want.I wanted to join but today is first day of going the school alone and I was lost so I didnt want to disturb the class because of my lateness.but Mate said that the pupil contunied their project in the lesson again.

Class 8I math with Jens :Pupils continued to present their projects , I wanna tell something about their projects

*they choose whatever they want but acceptaneble by teacher

*they use mostly powerpoint, moviemaker and some videos(from you tube and sharing webpages)

*nothing about math but good time to understand some behaviours.

Wednesday :Class 6A math with VA Again they continued their projects so I want to explain their projects

*They were vitalizing the sea life by papers and drawings

*All of them were working in groups and they have got the same materials but their works are so diffrent.

*Class was 28 pupils and it is most crowded class in school, but they are using 2 class so they are free.

Class 8I physics with SD :the subject was gravity and teacher used some transperies to teach it and he drew some forms (shapes ) to the black board. Most important thing is only one or two students were writing notes about lesson.then he gave some exercises to pupils and they did it in class so ıt wasn't a homework.

Class 7B physics with SD : Subject was electric and teacher explained Ohm's law ıts like this V=I.R (V is volt,I is Amper and R is Ohm )I know the original subject is not so simple but how can I write math formuls in there;)

Class 8I math with JE :two pupils were not satisfied about their grades and they wanted talk about it with teacher so they talked nearly a lesson time and teacher said us when they are getiin loudly, you can say them shut up?! What!!? yes I shoked anyway they were not noisy cause teacher said them that do some exercise on your books, yes some of them didnt do it but most of them did and we hlped about it.now turn back the unsatisfied pupils interesting thing is they have highest points in the class I mean 10 and their families think that it snot enough cause the most point is 12 ,so they want but teacher didnt change..Haha and he said they are asking everything reasons and opinions cause we ara Danish and it is our characterize.
Thursday
Class 8I with Soren:He continued the grativty subject, first he gave the pupils some papers to read than they answer some questions after the lesson we met with Soren and I decided to teach Einsteins twins experiment to then cause next week they will start solar system and the experiment is coneccting ir. Also I am exting about teaching because next week it will be my first experiment about teaching mathematic to a class (they are so crowded when you compare Danmark they are 28 puils. I hope it will be good

Journey to the past vol.2

May be you remember may be not but me and Zep did a little puppet show to you originally Turkısh versıon ıs dıffrent but ıt wasnt possıble to do it so we changed it a little bit I wrote a text in English and we find the puppet characters and draw them in colurs so you see the text and An introduction to our traditional Hacivat-Karagöz Shadow Puppet show

The shadow theatre, which involves two-dimensional figures casting their shadows on a screen, had important place in Turkey as well as throughout the larger area of the Ottoman Empire. The Turks, before they came to know shadow theatre in the sixteenth century, had enjoyed a long-standing established puppet tradition. There is virtually no kind of puppet show that Turkey has not tried. Puppet tradition came from Central Asia, but shadow theatre did not. Central Asia and Persia do not have shadow theatre. It was borrowed from Egypt in the sixteenth century. One question, however, remains and that is the origin of the Egyptian shadow theatre. There seems-little doubt that the shadow theatre was borrowed from Java by the Arabs. Arab trading and raiding expeditions kept them in continuous contact with Java. Now the question as to whether there was any indirect influence via Egypt of the Javanese on the Turkish shadow theatre is difficult to answer; yet there are several points in common between Turkish and Javanese shadow theatres. Turkish shadow theatre appears to be the product of a historical process whereby the Mameluke-derived shadow play technique was taken over by the Turks from a technical point of view only. In addition, it can be assumed that the Turkish shadow theatre borrowed movements, postures, and costumes of the Ottoman shadow theatre along with human actors such as Ottoman jesters and grotesque dancers, both of which had been in existence long before the advent of shadow theatre.
Beberuhi
We do not know what early karagoz figures looked like as the oldest puppets extant today are no more than one hundred years old. However we have a rich source reference in the Ottoman miniatures of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. These depict jesters and grotesque dancers, which conform to the style of karagöz figures not only in their costumes and headgear but also in their characteristic postures. Whether it was through the Egyptians or others that Turkey got Karagoz, all might have bequeathed a slight influence in their way. However, in essence, Karagoz is a rich cross section of Turkish culture, namely, of poetry, miniature painting music, folk customs, and oral tradition. So then, all these elements merged and fused in the early preparatory years of the sixteenth century to result in what is today known as Karagoz. By the seventeenth century, Karagoz was wholly identified. The name of Karagoz, as well as of kukla which in Turkish means a -puppet-, appeared for the first time in the seventeenth century.

This is our text I am Hacivat Zep is karagöz

I:I feel very bored ,I want to speak my fiend for fun.A-ha! Karagöz,Karagöööz !! Where are you my forever friend?

Z:Whre are we now Hacivat?

Tove talked about education systems in Europe. So look at my notes.

*Some schools focus on work with families ,others are creative and interfire prrofile.

*Edgar Schein( she called organizing collagesand leaderships, one of the founders of organization culture,When you want to change sth. in your organization ,you must know that what is possible to change(changing minds is difficult)

*Artafacts(manmade)are evrything you can observe (how old it is,how is the furniture, the way of thinking and eatingwhat does the school look like open or locked?,classes or rooms?,canteens or lunch boxes?..

And a general look of Europe

Encyclopaedic approach- France,Spain,Portugal,Italy,Belgium( Ithink Turkey is in this group but not so deep.)

All children should acquire knowledge as many issues as possible teaching of quality :the same curriculum, same methods, standarisedand same qality.

Way of thinking: No religion,no emotion, clear precise demnds understanding of structures and systems.

Elitism:Competition as a method in teaching career is important not coperation France has got the second chance schools also..
